"Caszandra" Ebook Competition - Plus Important Note for Nook Readers

For this release, instead of a Smashwords coupon, I'll be running a competition to give away an ebook copy of Caszandra, plus your choice of any of my other books.  There'll be seven winners, and the ebooks will be emailed out before I even load the copies up on Smashwords and Amazon.

To enter, simply email giveaway@andreakhost.com.  [Competition closed now.]  Your email should include:

- Which Setari squad would you most like to join/hang out with and why?
- The email address you want me to send the ebook to.
- Your preferred ebook format (Kindle's mobi/Epub (Nook)/PDF).

Winners will be chosen by random number generator and the competition closes when the book is done! [The 24th, most likely.]

Feel free to include your squad selection in comments on this post as well.

Important Note to Nook (ie. non-Amazon) Readers

Stores such as Barnes & Noble do not allow non-US authors to upload books.  To place the book on B&N, I upload it to Smashwords and Smashwords vets it (can take days/weeks) and then distributes it (can take days/weeks).  Which means that Caszandra will show up on B&N _eventually_ but I have no way of knowing when.  You can still purchase the book at release from www.smashwords.com - Smashwords will have the book in both Nook and Kindle format.

If there's some reason you cannot use Smashwords, but you can't bear to wait for distribution vagaries, email me on release day and I'll see if I can work something out.

  1. The wait is killing me! I am so excited but disappointed that the series is ending.

  2. I feel like I should say 4th squad, because I'm totally crushed on Ruuel. But I would probably really rather hang out with 1st squad, because IRL I'd be more of a Maze girl. I love a nice smile. :-)

BTW, I'm planning on using Caszandra as my reward for finishing NaNoWriMo. I can't start reading it until I get done.

  3. If Caszandra were available on pre-order, you'd have my sheckles already.

Is it complicated to go the pre-order route?

  4. @ Amanda - torture's nearly over. ;)

@ Sarah - Good luck with NaNo!

@ Greg - Not so much complicated as not permitted. There's no mechanism to allow self-publishers to establish pre-orders.

  5. I'm on hot/standby to give you my shekels as well. :-) I'm glad that Greg asked the question and you provided an answer regarding pre-orders. Thanks!

  6. I'm waiting too, lol. I read and re-read the first two books and still find things to look up that give new perspectve. (still not exactly sure about the phrase 11/10 pleased). I recommend this book to everyone and will be getting the entire set for each of my daughters as gifts. Hmm, maybe the neices too.

  7. @ Robin - getting closer to release now. Should definitely be out in the time frame set (though I don't think I'll ever set another fixed release date!).

@ Msilverthorn - that's so cool! I hope your daughters/nieces like them. [I'm busy stressing out about whether "Caszandra" will work for people - but then, I was convinced everyone would find "Lab Rat" boring when I was about to release that.]

  8. I liked Lab Rat more than Stray so I'm not worried :) I can't wait for Caszandra and the happy ending book. When I said I read and re-read them...well at least twice a week. For the last month since I found them.

  9. @ MSilverthorn - That's truly impressive! How lovely to have created a world which can so catch a person's imagination. :) One of the reasons I decided that Touchstone was a publishable story was because I kept dipping into my personal rough print copy - just randomly opening it anywhere and reading. It's an easy story to get caught up in.

  11. Thank you so much for writing and publishing Touchstone! I enjoy reading many books, but none have capture my attention and imagination as Touchstone. I find myself randomly opening up either Lab Rat or Stray and still get so into the parts I'm reading even though I've already read it a few times. Never has a book or series mesmerize me so much. I've gotten the Medair books, but I haven't been able to read them yet because my mind is still with Cass and the Setari. I'm so happy the 25th will be here soon!

  12. I'm so excited about Caszandra coming out (hopefully tomorrow?)!!! I have now until monday off of work, and while I'm supposed to be getting my house ready to sell, it's going to be hard not to sit and read the whole book. :)

  13. @ Ale / Anon - I'm so hoping Caszandra will work for you the same way. Been putting the finishing touches to it today, and hoping people like it as much as I do.

@ Zoe - when I scheduled Caszandra's release date, I had no idea it was a holiday weekend in the US. [It's not here in Australia.] I hope I don't mess with anyone's schedule too much!
